How to play

About two minutes to set up
  1. 1

    Create a nickname

Pick any name. You will be shown a QR code — scan it with an authenticator app on your phone. From then on, that app is how you sign in; there is no password to remember and no email to give.

You will also get ten recovery codes. Save them somewhere safe. If you lose your phone they are the only way back into your account.

  2. 2

    Start a session

Choose a game, then set how long it should last — anything from an hour to a week — how many players you expect, and a password if you want one.

  3. 3

    Let people in

A session without a password is listed publicly on the front page, and anyone with an account can take a free seat.

Give it a password and it disappears from that list. It is then reachable only by its id — the 22-character code in its link — and only by someone who also has the password. Send both to whoever is playing.

  4. 4

    Play, then see the results

Answer whenever suits you — nothing has to happen at once, and the clock in the session shows how long is left. Nobody sees anyone else's answers until the last person is done.

Once everyone has finished, the results open for 24 hours. After that the whole session is deleted.

Go on then.
