Code Words
One word, one number, and a great deal of hope.
Pick a nickname to play Sign in
Reading this needs nothing. Starting a session needs a nickname, which takes about a minute and asks for no email address.
What it is
Two teams, twenty-five words, and one clue-giver each who can see which words are theirs.
How it plays
- 1
Twenty-five words are laid out. Each team has a clue-giver who can see which ones are theirs.
- 2
A clue is one word and one number: how many of your words it points at.
- 3
Guess your own words to keep going. Touch the assassin and you lose on the spot.
The details
- Players
- 4โ8 players. The host can set the number in advance, or leave it open and close the door once everyone has arrived.
- How long
- About an evening of playing. The session itself lasts as long as the host sets, from an hour to a week, so nobody has to be at their phone at the same time.
- Kind of game
- Word and trivia
- Suitable for
- Anyone. Nothing in it that anybody needs to be warned about.
- What is kept
- Everything written in a session is encrypted, and the whole session is deleted when it ends. What that means.
